BCP Weekly Updates: Monday, September 15th, 2025 (DAY 9)

Dear Families,

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! We hope everyone is starting to settle into the 25-26 school year.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to review updates and important reminders! Any questions or concerns, let me know.

Updates and Important Information

  1. Curriculum Night
Baccalieu Collegiate will have its Meet and Greet with the Teacher / Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, starting at 6:30 pm. Families are encouraged to attend a general assembly (cafeteria) covering teacher introductions and important information, followed by an opportunity to share with our teachers (gymnasium).

  2. Code of Conduct
Just a reminder that this year, we are introducing an updated Code of Conduct, which includes a demerit system. The intention of this system is to reduce disruptive/harmful behaviours and promote positive behaviours. Please make sure you review this with your child(ren): Code of Conduct

  3. School Council
We are happy to welcome new members to our School Council! The council meets once a month on Monday afternoons. If you are interested, please contact the school to be updated on our next meeting.

  4. School Allergies
Please be aware that the following foods are prohibited at school due to severe allergies: nuts, fish, shellfish, and eggs.  We have students who may require an epipen if exposed to the listed allergens.

  5. Rycor Forms
If you haven't already done so, please fill out the Acceptable Use of Technology, Core Digital Tools Consent, and Media Consent Forms through Rycor for your child(ren).  It is also critical to make sure that you update your demographic information if there have been any changes since last year.

  6. 295 Baccalieu Sea Cadets
The 295 Baccalieu Sea Cadets would love to welcome new members! Cadets meet every Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the school. It’s a great opportunity for youth to build skills, make friends, and get involved in their community.

  7. Extra Curricular Schedule
Baccalieu Collegiate offers a number of extra curricular activities including sports, drama, tutoring/study hall, DND, and more!  Please see our after school schedule for this week (also on Baccalieu's Facebook page).

  8. Absence / Sign-In / Sign-Out (Family)
You must make attendance a priority for our youth. Consistent attendance is crucial for academic and social success, as it ensures that students are actively engaged and able to fully benefit from the educational opportunities we provide.
