Updates and Important Information
1) Thanksgiving Holiday: Please note we will observe Thanksgiving as a holiday on Monday, October 9th 2023. There will be no school on this day.
4) CDLI Meet the Teacher Night: On
Thursday, October 12th 2023 starting at 7pm families are welcome to virtually attend the CDLI Meet the Teacher Night. Please see the following

5) Tutoring for Tuition: Please pick up an application form from the office and complete and pass it to Mr. Saxby if you are a student in High School and are interested in participating in the Tutoring for Tuition Program this year. Tutors will provide a maximum of 120 hours of tutoring service but not less than 15 hours during the 2023-2024 school year. Reimbursement will be in the form of a voucher based on the minimum wage rate and when the tutoring occurred. (April 1, 2023 $14.50, Oct 1, 2023 $15.00).
6) District Wide School Closeout: Please note there will be no school for students on Monday, October 16th 2023. This day will be for teacher professional development and training.
7) Need Help Posters: The District's Provincial Safe and Inclusive Programs Itinerants have created a
Digital "Need Help?" Poster that we believe can greatly benefit our students in Grades 7-12. The poster will be printed and placed in high-visibility areas throughout the school. The poster contains a QR code that students can scan with their cell phones to help them learn about local supports available to children, youth, adults, and families by providing quick and accessible information to assist students when they encounter issues or have questions related to their well-being.
8) Assessment Support Calendar: Please do your best to add assessments to our Assessment Support Calendar. This calendar is shared on our www.baccalieucollegiate.ca site for both students and families to see and support their organization. Additionally, give our IRT team a heads up at your earliest convenience so that they can mobilize effectively to support.
9) Check the Calendar: Check the Calendar (www.baccaliecollegiate.ca) for further and future updates including extra-curricular activity practice times.

Music with Ms. Sequeira: Excited to get music back on the go at Baccalieu. Thank-you to all the students who signed up and thank-you Ms. Sequeira!
BCP Student Connections Centre: Huge thanks to our students and families who provided their input on our Student Centre! CSH PROJECT SURVEY. Some amazing ideas!
Brilliant Labs: Huge thanks to Wylie Butler from Brilliant Labs and our Lighthouse project team for their work on video editing last week. Also, huge thanks to Wylie and the Brilliant Labs crew for lending to us their editing station!
Senior & Junior Boys Basketball: Great work senior and junior boys basketball players!
Girls Basketball: Way to go Coach Regev and the girls basketball!!
Senior & Junior Girls Volleyball: Way to go Girls Volleyball players and coaches!
Cross Country: Great job cross country runners! The big Harvest Run is fast approaching. Run forest run!
