BCP Family Weekly Updates: Monday, January 23rd 2023 (DAY 5)

 Dear Families,

I hope you enjoyed the snow this past weekend! It's that time of the year that our body and minds need to be pushed outside for fresh air and the sounds of nature. Sunday was a great day for it! Thank-you in advance for taking the time to review updates and important reminders! Any questions or concerns let me know. If I have missed anything please reply-all to this email.

                                           Updates and Important Information

1) CNA Field Trip: Please note that Mr. Holloway and Ms. Doyle will be taking the Career Education Class to the Open House at CNA on Thursday, January 26th 2023. This will be a full day event.

2) 1st Semester End: Please note that first semesterised courses end  Friday, January 27th 2023. Studnets please ensure that you are up-to-date with your learning.

3) Mid-Year Report: Please note that the office will generate Mid-Year Reports for all current Grade 12 students. These reports will be available to Grade 12 students for post secondary application purposes on or before Friday, February 10th 2023

4) Wellness Day Kickoff: The CSH team in cooperation with our student leadership team aim to have a Wellness Day Kickoff on Wednesday, February 8th 2023. This day will include empowering presentations with information and high impact strategies for our youth to help them deal with the pressures of their world. The day will also include various activities that students can choose that will help promote connection and wellness!

5) Ronald McDonald House: BCP staff, students and families are invited to bring in their pop pull tabs and place them in the bucket near the lobby. Baccalieu Collegiate will again be collecting pull tabs in support of the Ronald McDonald House. Last year we collected over 3 X 18.5 litre bottles full. Let's beat that number this year!

6) Assessment Support Calendar: Please do your best to add assessments to our Assessment Support Calendar. This calendar is shared on our www.baccalieucollegiate.ca site for both students and families to see and support their organization. Additionally, give our IRT team a heads up at your earliest convenience so that they can mobilize effectively to support.
