Dear Parents/Guardians: Think 'Co-regulation & Connection' Before 'Compliance & Consequences'.
Learning in a Time of COVID
Think 'Co-regulation & Connection' Before 'Compliance & Consequences'.
Emotions are natural and normal, and so is stress. But what happens when a collective trauma - like a global pandemic occurs that makes stress and emotions run sky-high? When we learn about interconnectedness and co-regulation, it becomes a superpower for parents and professionals.
Understanding how adults can set the stage for learning through connection is vital right now. Lowering stressors, deepening relationships, and using co-regulation skills is a game-changer for our kids with Learning Disabilities (Specific Learning Disorders) and ADHD. It can open kids up to learning opportunities we never dreamed possible.
