  4. Senior Girls Volleyball Tournament - Roncalli
Congrats to the Senior Girls Volleyball team on their run and finishing second in a three-set thriller at the Roncalli senior girls volleyball tournament this past weekend. They all played with heart, sportsmanship and determination all weekend, showing their pride in wearing the Baccalieu colours. 3,2,1 BCP!

  5. Western Regional DramaFest
Congratulations to our Junior and Senior Drama Troupes who performed at the drama festival this past week in Carbonear. Even though the weather caused some challenges, our students rose to the occasion with two awesome performances. They were wonderful ambassadors of our school and we were very proud of them!

  6. 25th Anniversary Committee
September 2027 will be the 25th anniversary of Baccalieu Collegiate's opening.  We're looking to celebrate this milestone, and would love to have members of the school community involved in planning and putting the plan into action.  If you're interested, please email baccalieucoll@nlesd.ca.

  7. Parking at School
Please do not park in the wheelchair spaces right in front of the building unless you have a vehicle permit to do so.  We want to ensure that visitors who require that parking have access to it.  Thank you.

  8. How to use Rycor for Fees and Forms
Some families may be unfamiliar with or unsure about using Rycor. Please note that mandating its use is an NLSchools decision, not a school-level decision: “Effective November 1, 2025, the use of Rycor Online Payment System is mandatory for the collection of all School Generated Funds.” (Rycor Usage Protocol - NLSchools, 2025)

To help, I’ve created a short Google Slideshow that shows how to access Rycor and locate school forms and fees: Rycor Slideshow. If you need assistance, please contact the school.

  9. Prepared for Class
Students are expected to come to class prepared each day with all required materials, including pencils, notebooks, and their Chromebook. Chromebooks should be charged, and students should have their chargers with them.

  10. Tutoring for Tuition
Tutoring for Tuition is now available. If you feel your child would benefit from extra academic support, please reach out to Mrs. Reid or Mrs. Slade to get started. We’re happy to help students build confidence and strengthen their learning.

  11. Extra Curricular Schedule
Baccalieu Collegiate offers extracurricular activities, including sports, drama, tutoring/study hall, DND, and more!  Practice Schedule Change – This Week Only:

🏀 Girls Basketball will have a mandatory practice on Tuesday from 3:00–4:30 PM to prepare for their SSNL Tournament on Thursday at Roncalli.

🏸 Badminton practice will take place on Thursday from 3:00–4:30 PM.

Badminton and Girls' Basketball are switching their usual practice times for this week only. Please make sure athletes attend the correct practice. Thank you!

  12. Absence / Sign-In / Sign-Out (Family)
Attendance is critical for academic and social success, as it ensures that students are actively engaged and able to fully benefit from the educational opportunities we provide. Please make sure that you sign your child in and out when arriving late or leaving early.

We are looking for additional volunteers for our KES Breakfast Program.  Anyone interested, please contact Ms. LeShane at marleneleshane@nlschools.ca.
